  • Welcomed in an average of 150 guests per day and escorted them to their Tables and waiting areas.
  • Organized and scheduled reservations for 50 plus customers daily both over the phone and online.
  • Presented the restaurants daily specials and Menu Options to customers contributing to a 20% increase in sales that year.
  • Communicated with customers and restaurant staff to guarantee that all customer concerns were promptly addressed and Guests left happy.

Hostess / Waitress, Golden Tulip Hotel Kampala, Uganda – 2018 - 2019

 

  • Greeted Customers and escorted them to their tables
  • Presented the menu to customers and provided detailed information whenever asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
  • Prepared tables by setting up linens, Silverware and glasses.
  • Occasionally checked dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation, and always reported any problems / abnormalities to management.
  • Interfaced with customers and assessed their food needs, recommended them dishes, upsold them beverages, appetizers and desserts. Also answered to questions about Menu Items.
  • Accurately communicated customers orders to kitchen staff and entered orders into POS systems to facilitate billing.

I hold a Diploma in Catering and Hotel Management. First class from Makerere University Business School. Kampala, Uganda 2017 - 2020

I also hold a A - Level Certificate. UACE, Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education. From London College Nansana. Kampala, Uganda 2015 - 2016
