HSEQ Manager with 18 years plus in Hospitality and facilities Management in Dubai and India; perfected his passion points in Occupational Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Sustainability and Quality (HSEQ). From strategic planning of H&S requirements to audits, assessments, and training of all levels. 

Oversee Food Safety, Fire Safety, Health and Safety across the property. Achieve hazard control by design and purchase, devising and introducing controls based on risk assessment while complying with Local, Federal regulations and International best practices. Also an internationally certified trainer from HABC & CIEH.

Previously, Essex was with the Meydan group as an HSE Manager and gained expertise in handling high-profile 5-star hotels and the horse racing Grandstand facility, handling the prestigious Dubai World Cup. He led in setting standards for Food Safety & Health Safety from 2010 until 2020 and coordinating with all Government departments for a completely safe environment.

Essex has also worked with the Dubai Properties group in the capacity of HSE Advisor and has gained proficiency in handling Facilities Management and construction, projects, 3rd party auditing, inspection & consulting of live (occupied) buildings. Some of which include Dubai Health Care City (DHCC), Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), TECOM – Internet City, Media City & Knowledge Village, Academic City, Jumeirah Beach Residences, Dubai Land & Al Khail Gate Community Projects.

Essex also managed the Le Royal Meridien & Grosvenor House Hotels team, leading Occupational Safety & Food Safety management where he rolled out the HSE Le Meridien Hotels brand requirement and achieved the “Top Hotel Award “98% score among all Le Meridien Hotels worldwide.
