  • G+2 type workers accommodation blocks - 16 Nos and surrounding infrastructure works at Hamriyah Free Zone phase 2, Sharjah. Project Value AED. 125 Million. May 2019 - November 2020.
  • Cluster of warehouses at Logistics Village 5, Hamriyah Free Zone phase 2, Sharjah. Plot area 87,000 Sqmt/ Built up area 33,000 Sqmt. Project Value AED. 115 Million. December 2017 - July 2019. 

 

Responsibilities :                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

  • Undertake techno-commercial matters including pre-tender analysis of projects under tendering & bidding process, contract evaluation/negotiation and contract finalization. Lead the preparation of major bids and proposals on the commercial and technical side. 
  • Reviewing design drawings, specifications, and contractual documents. Preparing and finalizing cost estimates of key WBS items as per BOQ. Reviewing and finalizing workforce and other resources projections as per the master construction schedule.
  • Planning, analyzing and finalizing master construction schedules, key quality assurance processes and risk management related processes for the project. Managing and approving workshop drawings development related to civil works. 
  • Liaising with External Agencies, Architects and Consultants for determining technical specifications, approvals for execution & obtaining on-time construction permits and licenses from all relevant UAE Govt. authorities.
  • Planning and conducting project kick-off and periodical site meetings with key stakeholders. Generate periodical project progress report.
  • Monitoring and controlling on-site construction activities to ensure successful completion of project within time, cost & quality parameters and ensure effective resources utilization to maximize the benefits.

Responsibilities :                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

  • Work with Quantity Surveying & Procurement Team to determine all WBS items costs based on current market scenario and prepare competitive proposals. Performing Post Tender Award Study of projects to analyze any deviations and changes from original tender documents. Ensuring fulfillment of all contractual obligations.
  • Carry out daily site walkthroughs to observe and evaluate the ongoing construction effort. 
  • Planning and conducting scheduled periodical reviews with all stakeholders to check project status. 
  • Routinely interact with clients, contractors representatives and others using skills of persuasion and negotiation to resolve critical issues. Strictly monitor compliance of Organization’s Project Delivery System (PDS).
  • Developing contractual documents for procurement of resources and subcontractors. Ensure on time payment to vendors and sub-contractors as per agreed terms of reference in order to continue mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Monitor and complete de-snagging activities, compiling final project closure documentation and receiving Temporary Occupation Certificate (TOC) from Project Consultant and other relevant authorities.

Responsibilities :                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

  • Plan and control the execution of construction efforts especially all structural and finishing works. Monitor the compliance to agreed quality standards and processes. Ensuring all ongoing works comply to agreed HSE practices.
  • Recognizing & resolving critical issues related to site activities in order to ascertain uninterrupted construction works.
  • Liaise with Project Architect, Consultant and Client to receive approval for shop drawings, method statements and materials. 
  • Assist Quantity Surveying & Procurement Team in internal materials and resources estimation as well as cost determinations. 
  • Assist procurement team in developing contractual documents for procurement of resources and subcontractors. Provide technical knowledge and assistance required to finalize the formal versions.
  • Assist Planning Team in finalizing master as well as internal construction schedules and work programs using Primavera P6. 
  • Assist Project Manager and other superiors in preparation of monthly project progress report by providing updated information.
  • Scrutinize and approve all interim as well as final invoices of all civil works sub-contractors with appropriate support documents. Ensuring the timely settlement of all sub-contractors in order to continue mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Compare and analyze the ongoing project progress with cost, schedule and quality baselines. Escalate the critical slippages to higher authorities and follow up for timely action to resolve them.

 

  1. Jan’ 2006 to Sept’ 2009 with Al Khatri Building Contracting EST., Sharjah as Construction Project Engineer.

Responsibilities :                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings with site engineers and subcontractors on subjects related to schedule, quality & safety.
  • Direct and manage teams of site engineers and subcontractors to achieve set goals within quality & cost parameters. 
  • Supervise, direct and control all ongoing construction efforts especially structural and finishing works. Ensure their compliance to agreed quality and HSE standards. Liaise with Project Consultant’s representative to inspect and approve all ongoing work.
  • Provide technical and unbiased expertise to resolve all critical issues in timely manner to maintain construction progress flow.
  • Liaise with Project Consultant’s representative regarding RFIs generation, NCRs rectification and timely approval of materials. 
  • Estimate civil works related materials and other resources on weekly basis, submit the requisition to superior authorities.
  • Prepare internal site schedules for use of site engineers and subcontractors. Track the progress against these schedules.
  • Provide weekly, fortnightly and monthly progress related data to superiors for timely project reports generation.
  • Scrutinize and correct wherever required all interim as well as final invoices of all civil works sub-contractors and provide supporting documents like quantity sheets, quality reports etc. to assist the superiors in timely approval of the same.
