Suggest food and beverages to the guest and try to up sell. • Packaging food and beverages for sale. • Responds proactively to prevent customer service situations. • Selling coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items, and educating customers about brewing methods. • Answer telephone in a courteous and friendly manner including, but not limited to, giving store greeting, direction to store locations and receiving and filing customer orders. • Answers customer’s questions regarding coffee blends, preparation, and product freshness. • Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils. • Maintains efficient, friendly service standards and demonstrates such standards when training other team members. • Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter • Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar. • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
