My duties include the following:
leading the labour room independently, taking decisions independently starting from the progression of labour until delivery. dealing with emergency operations regarding progression of labour and decision of mode of delivery (instrumental delivery or emergency caesarean section), and the repair of 3rd and 4th degree of perineal tear.
Management of gynaecological problems such as heavy menstrual bleeding, heavy vaginal bleeding. All surgical operations are done under the supervision of the consultant. Diagnosis and treatments of patients according to the established standards of best practice of specialty.
Complies with all established hospital polices regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow up practices
Leads ward rounds; reassesses both inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis, in line with established best practice
