Salma Dafa Allah Ahmed Omer

At present, I have completed my PhD at the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. My research titled Maximum clique and edge bi-clique problems via matrix decomposition and the truncated nuclear norm is sponsored by the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD and SIDA). My research focused on designing efficient algorithms for solving Maximum clique and edge bi-clique problems. I have published several papers on this subject in international journals. I am currently working on extending my research to solve more complex problems. I have a Master's degree focused on Mathematical Science from Western Cape University and the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS South Africa). I am passionate about furthering my research in the field of mathematical sciences and making an impact on the global research community. I have another master's degree in Computational and Industrial Mathematics from the University of Khartoum, Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, Sudan. My master's research topic is Optimization in Big Data.

My research interests include Optimization, Combinatorial Optimization, Discrete Optimization, Applied Mathematics, Graph Theory, Optimal Control, and Operation Research. I have developed strong problem-solving skills and am familiar with a variety of mathematical techniques and algorithms. I am also highly competent in programming languages such as Matlab, Python, C++, and Java. I am confident in my ability to contribute to research projects in these areas.

I have been working as a lecturer for about 8 years.

I have a PhD and two MSc in Applied Matematics.
