About Sameena Esmail:

I come from an Indian background and was raised in Kenya before moving to Canada, where I eventually became a nurse. My experiences across different cultures have shaped who I am today and given me a deep appreciation for community and caring for others. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy swimming and sewing, which are activities that help me relax and express creativity.


 

Experience

Canadian-trained Registered Nurse with several years of operating room experience in major hospitals in Ontario, including Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton. Experienced in supporting surgical teams, maintaining sterile environments, and ensuring patient safety during a wide range of surgical procedures.


 

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing, University of Alberta; Honours Bachelor of Science, McMaster University; and an Operating Room Certificate from Mohawk College Continuing Education
