Shaikh Nawaz

I am Shaikh Mohammed Nawaz from Mumbai India currently In Dubai, UAE on a visit visa valid until August, 2022. I am registered Architect with the COA India and have completed my Bachelor’s of Architecture Degree (5 years) from India.

My course included in detail study of various subjects of Architecture over a span of 5 years and 10 semesters. The subjects included :

Architectural Design, Interior Design, Landscape Design, History of Architecture, Theory and design of structures, Estimation and costing, Design fundamentals of Architecture, Professional practise and an internship of 6 months amongst others.

I have been working as a Junior Architect in Mumbai for the last 2 years where I have learnt a lot about the practice. 

My skill includes

-3D models, planning, concepts, analysis, research, interior design,etc. Generates creative solutions; translates concepts and information into images; collaborate with others to modify design; applies design principles. 

-Critical Skills and Abilities. 

Effective communication skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

-High accuracy and attention to detail: Able to perform work and job function with precision and accuracy; carefully monitors processes; concentrates on details, organizes and maintains a system of records. 

-Develop design work in close coordination with other members of the team. Contribute to and manage the preparation of mood boards, material & finish selections and presentation material. 

-Maintain constant professional communications with client, project team, and consultants.

-Have a project focused view, across multiple projects. Present design solutions to the client. 

-Be responsible for creating and leading design concepts through creative thought processes focused on user experience, materiality, and sustainable approaches, representing the company's standard quality of design.

-My professional responsibilities also included research, conceptualization, planning, drafting and 3d modelling as well as cross checking calculations, etc.

I have very keen research and observational skills. I like to complete my assignments in detail and thrive under pressure. I also tend to provide conceptual ideas backed by research and stay true to the concepts until project delivery. I perform well with a team and always am learning and supporting my peers. I perform what is asked of me precisely and see my projects complete to the best of my ability on time. I also tend to work well with the clients for briefing and have exceptional presentation skills.

Although since my thesis years I have been very interested in Parametric tools of modelling such as Rhino + Grasshopper, of which I have attended several certified training programs. I have also been interested in Free form designs using rhino SubD amongst others. With my growing interest in these tools, methods and practises I have recently moved to Dubai on a visit Visa valid until August to look for a practise where I can learn as well as grow as a computational designer as I wish to do my Master’s and PhD in the same.

I am familiar with ladybug tools, honeybee, kangaroo 3d, culebra, etc. which are some of the plugins I have been working on. I also have experience with Revit, autoCAD, Lumion, keyshot 3D, unreal engine 5, etc. Also, I am a candidate that looks forward to enhancing my skills on a monthly basis through online workshops and webinars from designmorphine, futurly, etc. some of which are well known on social media.
