+ SAFEGUARDING LEAD - I improved the teams’ coding of the most vulnerable patients and also developed an effective IT-based framework for meeting discussions. By proactively arranging and facilitating regular meetings between the MDT, I used time and relationships as effective tools in changing mental schemata. Closely engaging with key stakeholders and using simple, reiterated propositions meant an accelerated rate of adoption and a unanimous change in practice. By presenting the findings on a wider scale, a ripple-effect of innovation was created.

+ CLINICAL SUPERVISOR - Students, junior doctors, paramedics, nurses, pharmacists, and physician associatesdiscuss the cases that they find difficult with me. Through informal and formal meetings, I support their progression and oversee clinical decision making. Anonymous feedback from the MDT included:

+ During the covid pandemic I was instrumental in foreseeing and solving issues on a national level. For example, I suggested that oximeters be collectable from the surgery to allow remote monitoring. This slashed time andadministration costs whilst reducing fears all the while ensuring a streamlined maintenance of safe and high-quality care. By proactively attending national MDT meetings, such strategies were adopted on a national scale.

+ I am solely responsible for ensuring that the financial, emotional and educational wellbeing of six medical students is of a good standard.

+ By proactively encouraging one-to-one group meetings, and building rapport, the students confide in me and have expressed that my support has been invaluable, particularly during their difficulties.

 LEAD DOCTOR at NURSING HOME, Sussex​​​         2018-2021

+ As sole responsible doctor for 20 elderly and vulnerable patients, I analysed and interpretated clinical and laboratory data and consulted with staff to reach a confident diagnosis and plan despite challenging circumstances due to multifactorial limitations.

+ I played a pivotal role in detecting the unknown unknowns amongst frontline staff. I discussed issues sensitively with them, established procedures, and finally oversaw the necessary training in collaboration with managerial staff. I tactfully mitigated risks, optimised care and increased the confidence of patients and staff. My overarching and consistent goal when facing issues is to offer and collaborate on practical solutions without blame. I consistently achieve this with great success.

+ I individually developed and successfully implemented Standard Operating Procedures to frame communications. This effectively stream-lined and reduced the workload, optimised safety, and increased the confidence and understanding of nursing staff.

+ By communicating clearly and compassionately with patients and their families, I fostered an environment of person-centered care whilst using evidence-based treatment plans.

+ I managed safeguarding concerns holistically with patients and sensitively with staff with adequate follow-up and MDT involvement, thereby ameliorating care.
