Appointed by Driver Trett/Ministry of Transport & Communication to act as Senior Planning Consultant on Al Batinah Expressway project.  Six packages with a total value of $2.1 Billion, the work including 2 x 4 lane main carriageway for a length of 266 Km, bridges 25nos spanning in the range of 7 span to 13 span, Interchanges 21nos, 34nos of Overpasses / Underpasses connecting the existing Batinah road with the new expressway, box culverts 1194nos single and multi-cells, Utilities, median drainage system, dykes and embankment protections.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Director and head the Planning, scheduling, monitoring and controlling, delay claim analysis of all six packages in Batinah expressway projects.
• Understand contract requirements- Coordinate with project team for input to schedule.
• Coordinate in Developing of all levels of construction schedule and weekly look ahead schedule.
• Coordinate development and approval of construction baseline schedule.
• Facilitate the overall work integration planning process and development of all schedule recovery plans.
•  Analyse the schedule impact, critical path analysis and present monthly updates to the client explaining   

    the status, issues and risks in the project.

• Conducting monthly meetings with the Client, Consultant, Contractors and Sub-contractors and resolving 

    the issues in the project and reducing the delays in the project.

• Monitor the progress of all Packages in relation to schedules, controlling equipment & resources utilization and recommend necessary recovery plans to Contractors.
• Review and comment the Extension of time (EOT) claims and variations (VO).
• Interface with client and other project stakeholders.

• Feb 2019 to date at request of the Client additionally handled MC1 Data Center Project at Barka, Oman 3Tire Data Center for Equinix and Omantel joint venture project.
• To Co-ordinate project deliverable with Client / Consultant/ Subcontractors and supplier for timely project completion.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the progress of all the projects in relation to schedules, controlling cost & resources utilization and recommend necessary recovery plans to project managers.
• Contribute in the areas of schedule analysis, cost analysis, man-hour computations, progress measurement methods and procedures during technical evaluation of bids.
• Prepare, submit and follow up for settlement (invoice) with the client for all variations (VO) and extension of time (EOT) claims.
• Prepare tender / baseline programmes by understanding the scope, drawings and specifications. This includes staff and labour resource schedules, major plant schedules and temporary MEP schedules.
•  Identify delays, critical paths, areas of concern and propose corrective action to the Contracts / project managers.

• Developed and maintained master schedules for assigned projects in Primavera P6, by understanding the scope, drawings and specifications.
• Evaluated performance of contractors and vendors through progress meeting and site visits and prepared progress reports.
• Liaised with other sections of the project task force (PTF) to assess and resolve interface constraints with other projects, departments or operational/shutdown activities.
