Suvarna Smita Raja

My name is Suvarna Smita Raja and I’m currently pursuing my B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai. My academic background, combined with a strong interest in research and real world problem-solving, has shaped me into a passionate learner and a proactive contributor in the field of AI and data science. I have hands-on experience through internships, hackathons, and research projects, including an internship at NIT Silchar on efficient object detection for low-resource devices, and a CTS Hackathon where I built a neural network model for medical fraud detection with over 92% accuracy.

Beyond academics, I have co-authored and presented papers at international IEEE conferences, contributed to various AI-based projects, and continuously upgrade my skills through certifications in Power BI, full-stack development, and UX design.

My career goal is to dive deeper into AI research—especially in applications like healthcare, smart systems, and embedded AI—and eventually contribute to impactful innovation in either academia or the tech industry.

I have participated in hackathons and done an internship on object detection at NIT SILCHAR.

I am currently in my final year of BTech Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I will be graduated in the month on June 2025. I have secured a CGPA of 7.75 currently.
