Tasnim Zabalawi

I am an enthusiastic Speech and Language pathologist dedicated to achieving superior patient outcomes; my enthusiasm comes from the two major domains of my passion: speech-language therapy and martial arts. I grew up to find myself diving into martial arts and became a young kickboxing, martial arts and self-defense coach while I was proud to be the youngest boxer in the Jordanian boxing national team. My ambition is to combine the art of self-defense to enhance speech-language therapy and to climb the ladder of this science by introducing new therapeutic approaches.

I have worked with toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, and adults. During my professional career, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations and disorders. I also have gained experience working as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of settings including medical centers, schools, clinics. Ispecializes in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a variety of disorders including: Feeding and Swallowing disorders, Articulation disorders, Language disorders, Voice disorders, Fluency disorders, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Vocal Cord Dysfunction, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Hearing Impairments, Cerebral Palsy, Central Auditory Processing Disorder, Sensory issues, Aphasia, Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Down Syndrome and many more.

I provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements mixing behavioral analysis basic methods and speech and language therapy.
