Thomas Overlund

I graduated from Western Oregon last summer and have been teaching as a substitute since and am excited to use my knowledge from school, the student teaching program and practical knowledge learned in the U.S to teach cultural and geography lessons to students abroad. I believe that my experience in the U.S, Kenya and Peru give me a unique perspective to teach history, geography and lessons of cultural inclusion to engaged students in the UAE.

I have worked as a social worker for adults with developmental disabilities in the U.S. and taught as a substitute and a in class teacher through the education program was western Oregon. I have been a supervisor in the past and am excited to work with students and staff to produce learning opportunities and life lessons for kids. I have worked primarily with k-8 students and would like to get involved in sports as well in Sharjah/Dubai.
