Project:- Hengyi PMB Refinery and Petrochemical Project

The Hengyi PMB refinery and petrochemical project involves the development of an integrated refinery and petrochemical complex at Pulau Muara Besar in Brunei. The world-class refinery and petrochemical facility is being developed in two phases by Hengyi IndustriesMy main role was working as HSE engineer for the sub contract provided to our company SAHID SDN BHD for construction work in that project.

Responsible for identifying HSE related issues that affect the work the work and ensures project complies with relevant Brunei HSE codes of practice
Involvement in development of contractors plans to execute construction in SIMOPS environment.
Participate in design reviews and transfer knowledge from design phase to construction phase.
Ensure Health, safety and environment programs and procedures are communicated to and regularly reinforced with site personal.
Promote safe working systems and procedures and monitor the proper application of the “permit to work” system, and associated job safety analysis.
Internal HSE plan audits of contractors/sub-contractors.
Participate in Risk assessment/ JSA Reviews.

‘Simpor Pharma Sdn Bhd’), the Brunei Sultanate’s first manufacturer of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products, with the aim of being the first Brunei Halal manufacturing company in the world. My role was contractor Project HSE In charge

Support HSE team to generate Site Specific HSE Plan.
Assisting in the implementation of the company’s Environment, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Increased “Safety Awareness” among all employees through safety charts, safety bulletins, safety slogans, pictorial sketches, safety tasks, safety films and safety wall calendars.
Increased “Safety Awareness” through regular Tool box Meeting.
Assisting in Coordinating and conducting Monthly HSE Committee Meeting & Weekly stand down meeting and preparing the Minutes of meeting & circulate to all concerned.
