• Formulating overall Consortium HSQE Strategy and monitoring the effective implementation of the components of the HSQE Improvement and audit programme

• Responsible for the overall coordination of site safety matters and advising site management on the successful implementation of the safety management systems in accordance with all statutory, company and client requirements

• RM 1.1 billion Double Track Project for passenger and freight train services to travel up to 160 kmph; including dismantling 417km track, 759 km of new track including 70 km on viaducts and bridges with 5.5 kilometers of track tunneling

• Project Head of Safety responsible for the safe construction and installation of civil, earthworks and track for the entire project scope: 884 Culverts, 9 Road Bridges (including associated expressway construction), 22 Camel Crossings, 10.3 million cu meters of excavation, 27 million cu meters of embankment fill and 818 kilometres of track 
• Consulting the main contractors and subcontractors for the safe installation and operation of Crushing and Batching plants
• Liaison with subcontractors for track and civil works, to ensure education and adherence to the Project Consortium Safety Plan
• Liaison with government bodies and local police for blasting operations, road diversions and sensitive issues such as security and terrorist threat management
• Providing support to the Project Director to coordinate individual Project Managers and Safety Managers within each company to ensure cooperation on the safety policy between all parties

• Providing instruction and training to construction staff to be able to compile method statements and risk assessments to the standard required for the overseas parent company
