- Ensure a safe workplaceenvironment without risk to health.
- Providetechnical advice and coordination in line with the project OHSPlan, legislation and standards into work groups asrequired/directed.
- Assist with implementationand monitoring of project ERP (Emergency ResponsePlan).
- Delivery of project safety induction andother identified safety training.
- Ensure thatall Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules andregulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated andcommunicated.
- Ensure the Company meets itsstatutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety andwelfare at work, including statutory training andreporting.
- Ensure the completion and regularreview of risk assessments for all work equipment andoperations.
- Ensure that all accidents aredocumented, investigated and recommended improvementsimplemented.
- Ensure that safety inspections arecarried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported,safety inspections, risk assessments and employees are aware oftheir responsibilities.
- Co-ordinate thedevelopment of health & safety policies, systems of workand procedures.
- Ensure full and accurate healthand safety and training records aremaintained.
- Establish a full programme ofdocumented health & safety inspections, audits andchecks.
- Establish a structured programme ofhealth & safety training throughout theCompany.
- Assist in Managing the agenda for theHealth & Safety Committee meetings. Ensure that all agreedaction points are completed withindeadlines.
