  • Job PurposeEnsure that regulated training programs and systems meet the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) Guidelines as well as the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) Regulatory requirements. Govern and oversee the section to ensure proper implementation of training processes and procedures. Oversee management of the Learning Management System (LMS), training and qualification records, and management of training schedules to drive improved performance of the section and meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Review and approve the SAT Processes, procedures and support system changes to maintain adherence to SAT Guidelines and ensure World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) standards and accreditation requirements are met.
  • Direct the development and implementation of processes to support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and program assessments for the Training Function to monitor training statuses and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee the implementation of processes and systems to establish and maintain training program records and other data as well as their retrieval from the system.
  • Oversee the implementation of LMS to establish and maintain training events.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling and implementation of department benchmarking and selfassessment to improve training process effectiveness.
Support of Training Activities

  • Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Oversee the development of training documents, processes and systems to ensure that the training provided meets regulatory requirements.
  • Guide, support and train Training personnel to improve the development and maintenance of training systems and process.
  • Review the systematic schedule for all of Training Programs to ensure timely and orderly delivery of all trainings.
  • Manage and maintain Training facilities to ensure training environment sufficient for effective delivery of all trainings.
Training Records

  • Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Oversee appropriate filing and record management systems to ensure that records and training materials are always current and accessible.
  • Validate transmission of all OntheJob Training (OJT), Operations, Technical and general training records to maintain timely and accurate document control protocols.
  • Periodically review that training and qualification related documents, including quality records submittals are filed appropriately to ensure records requirements are met.
Operational Planning

  • Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Provide input into the development of the Department's systems and processes, as well develop and implement the Section's procedures, identifying opportunities for the continuous improvement of practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor, control and report Operational and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the Section, to track performance and recommend corrective or mitigating actions.
  • Ensure that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, to meet the Section's requirements and standards.
The incumbent is expected to perform standard activities as per attachments 4 & 5 in the Job Description procedure (relating to Health, Safety and Environment, Security and Business Continuity, People Management, Excellence and Quality ManagementN/A

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Human Resources, Training, Education or related field.
  • 7 years of relevant experience.
Or equivalent as stated in the Job Description Procedure (HR-PRC-0004).
