Credit Specialist - Dubai, United Arab Emirates - AJC International

Description

We are looking for a professional and dynamic Credit Specialist with a proven track record of success in credit and collections. The Credit Specialist will be responsible for managing our Customer Accounts and Accounts Receivable functions to ensure alignment with the AJC Global Credit and Risk Management Policy. This position will be responsible for the China and Asia Regions with other Credit function support.

Essential Responsibilities:

Execute and abide by all Corporate Credit Policies and Procedures.

Proactively and effectively make collection follow ups to ensure quick and consistent turn on A/R.

Ensure customer credit files are efficiently maintained at all times by keeping them updated according to Corporate Policy.

Responsible for approving shipment decisions and cargo releases in a fast paced environment.

Ability to process new customer applications in a quick turnaround time.

Forward credit files to credit managers and credit committees for establishment of new accounts, credit line renewals, and new increases with thorough credit recommendation.

Strong analytical skills to complete credit investigations and make credit recommendations.

Basic knowledge of Financial Statements Analysis.

Proficient in MS office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Detail-oriented self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task.

Highly organized, self-disciplined and possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to learn.

Language Requirements:

The Credit Specialist role requires effective communication with international customers. Candidates are required to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
