Job Summary.


This role is crucial for forecasting and fulfilling part requirements for the Repair, Program, Project, Field Engineering, and Service business lines within Rig Technologies - Aftermarket operations.

The strategies executed by this role are expected to optimize inventory levels and fulfill parts demand effectively. This job function will positively impact inventory holding costs, OES levels, and business throughput.

Additionally, this role will function as a demand stream owner to establish seamless communication between the Spares, Manufacturing Supply Chain teams, and the rest of the Aftermarket business lines.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Create periodic parts forecasts for internal and external customers using qualitative and quantitative forecasting methods to plan demands effectively.
  • Analyze, monitor, and report supplydemand imbalance and develop strategies to ensure steady and timephased materials supply.
  • Utilize advanced methods for data analysis to determine alternative sourcing options within and outside the organization.
  • Collaborate with production planning and procurement teams to ensure the ERP data integrity necessary for effective materials and parts planning.
  • Evaluate market dynamics and insights by working with operations managers to determine future customer demand and take actions for preparedness.
  • Predict parts delivery dates for upcoming projects to support planning and scheduling teams.
  • Actively support procurement teams to identify optimal sourcing strategies.
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative strategies to optimize the reorder quantities and safety stock levels.
  • Analyze cost variances and lead times of inventory stock items to report their impact on project margins, operating profit, and ontime delivery performance.
  • Report inventory level status (quantity and valuation) periodically to the aftermarket management and determine strategies to optimize inventory levels for effective working capital management.
  • Analyze, direct, and report OES (obsolescence, excess, and surplus) inventory allocation to aftermarket projects.
  • Develop strategies to minimize inventory reserves to manage working capital effectively.
  • Analyze current and historical data for parts requirements, production schedules, and sales to identify trends and create effective action plans to fulfill parts demands.
  • Support the development of improved endtoend supply chain processes.
  • Provide training, leadership, and procedural documentation to ensure system discipline.
  • Perform other workrelated tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in supply chain management/engineering, industrial engineering, operation research preferred, or equivalent experience
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP certification preferred, or in process
  • Experience with supply chain management and execution
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience preferred

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimal travel required (less than 5%, internationally)

  • Ability to read technical blueprints
  • Solid understanding of finance fundamentals
