- Independently develops and/or supervises the creation ofengineering products that meet customer quality requirements. Thisincludes defining the problem establishing the work scope preparingthe budget and schedule planning the work providing technicaldirection and reporting the work status.
- Typical products may include detailed calculationsdrawings procurement documents design and installation packagesproposal evaluations technical reports and detailed analyses.
- Provides support for other engineeringactivities as required.
- May supervise one ormore subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
- May be assigned to a project ororganizational team or as a lead engineer for a specific disciplineon a small to intermediate size project.
- Provides input and technical guidance to CADDesigner/Drafters Designers and lowerlevel Engineers working on thesame project.
- Performs other responsibilitiesassociated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering (orrelated field)
- Minimum 5 years of workexperience in bridges and tunnel projects.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PCsoftware packages typically associated with engineering isrequired.
- Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills.
- PossessExcellent Oral Communication Skills with an Ability to FormEffective Relationships with Project Delivery Team Client andContractor under Time Pressure.
- Possess theability to Develop Analytical Reports and Presentations.
