We are currently in search of a highly skilled and knowledgeable Portfolio Lead – Rotating Equipment to contribute to our dynamic team.

    Job Summary.

    As a Portfolio Lead – Rotating Equipment, you will be a technical specialist providing valuable insights for assigned regional tenders and projects. Your role extends to advancing state of the art power electronics, power systems and power converter technologies as well as develop commercialization opportunities with the regional NOV businesses. Join us and play a crucial part in training regional engineers while optimizing equipment technology for enhanced performance and reduced environmental impact.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deep Specialist Knowledge: Develop profound expertise on assigned equipment (pumps, compressors, Collaborate with the Head of Procurement to define dedicated equipment needs and identify preferred suppliers, ensuring decisions are made with proper risk mitigation.
  • Regional Tenders and Projects: Prepare technical bid documents based on process datasheets, client specifications, and industry codes and standards for assigned regional tenders. Drive the approved technical equipment definition in collaboration with the tender team. Identify and engage with the right suppliers, following up with selected suppliers and planning audits when necessary.
  • Regional Projects: Review equipment dedicated specifications for regional projects. Ensure the approved technical equipment definition aligns with project requirements. Verify specifications, data sheets, technical bids, and purchase orders, resolving technical queries from vendors. Plan and participate in all required project inspections.
  • Equipment Development: Act as a Project Manager, coordinating with all disciplines. Optimize equipment technology to enhance performance while reducing manufacturing, CO2 emissions, and energy consumption.
  • Certification and Quality Processes: Manage initial electrical certification of the equipment. Monitor equipment certification renewals and stay abreast of electrical norm certification evolution. Offer technical support for equipment fabrication quality processes, including performing internal quality audits and piloting quality processes.
  • Client and Project Response: Provide timely and quality responses to clients and P&L centers in commercial projects. Recognize and address problems and discrepancies in work processes, offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of industry standards and the competition landscape for assigned equipment.
  • Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering (essential)
  • 10+ years of industry experience (essential)
  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience writing specifications, performing equipment selections, studies, requisitions, technical bid evaluation and vendor document reviews (essential)
  • Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of API, AGMA and ASME standards as they pertain to pumps, compressors, and other rotating equipment (essential)
  • The ability to evaluate compressors in both grass roots and rerate applications (essential)
  • Professional writing skills in English (essential)
  • In-depth understanding of the equipment competition landscape (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the O&G market and its needs (desirable)
