    JobDescription

    The Designer isresponsible for the conceptualizing and designing of digitalcontent across a variety of asset types. This role will partnerclosely with a dedicated Digital Content Strategist and collaboratewith the media team to deliver highquality agile digital content.This role will allow for ample autonomy to shape the various typesof content that is served up to our multiple audiences. ThisDesigner will be responsible for the development of all agilecontent and ensure timely and quality delivery of saidcontent.

    • Working independently ondesign only projects
    • Producing websites andmobile apps based on wireframes
    • Taking careof a project from the concept phase to the realizationphase
    • Collaborating with other super talentedteam members

    SpecificDuties:

    • Designing andproducing online content including social media display banners andart direct still/video shoots.
    • Collaboratingwith media teams to ensure that all designs align with the brandimage
    • Ensuring consistency in designs andcontent across all company platforms.
    • Reviewing product positioning and online marketing content toidentify room for improvement
    • Working withdevelopers to oversee the smooth implementation ofcontent
    • Working from scamps or on puredesignled projects creating a range of crossplatform design work.Create designs that drive user acquisition and retention metricsacross all channels
    • Working collaborativelywith Creatives UX or Developers to deliver digital output of thehighest quality and to brief
    • Staying up todate with emerging digital trends and culture and using these tomake recommendations to SC
    • Articulating andpresenting creative ideas/treatments

    Qualifications

    • 35 yearsexperience as a Graphic Designer
    • Ability todesign overall creative test assets incl. aesthetics typographycolor brand iconography imagery layout and concept sophistication(Owner of the brands VBL Visual Brand Language/DesignGuidelines)
    • Work across asset types (staticvideo animation); review existing content and identify how to pivotinto testable assets
    • Comfortable challengingcontent strategist and brand team and asking the right questions topush work forward
    • Strong conceptualcomposition photo art direction and ideation skills digitallynative understand what works in key digital platforms yet able tothink about the overall design and voice to break throughanywhere
    • Wellversed in best practices forvarious digital social media deliverables video anddisplay
    • Detailoriented very diligent aboutkeeping track of and properly naming files and versions based onthe quick turn changes coming out of the daily check ins
    • Digital portfolio that showcases a variety professionaldesign projects. The ideal candidate will have digital social weband motion.
    • Handson experience with creativegraphic production design software and image editing software (e.g.InDesign Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator After Effects)
    • Basic knowledge of HTML and bannerdevelopment
    • Critical Thinking / using logicand reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses ofalternative solutions conclusions or approaches toopportunities
    • Ability to manage multiplecreative projects
    • Bachelors BFA degreepreferred majoring in art graphic design or advertising
    • Experience working in an agency or inhouse designdepartment
    • Have a good understanding ofdigital design
    • An understanding of responsivedesign and how to get the most from design across all devicesmobile website apps
    • Consistently design to ahigh standard with target audience in mind
    • Keep abreast of current design trends and implement these into yourown work
    • Ensure that design ideas arecommunicated clearly (in writing and verbally) to colleagues andclients
    • Demonstrate the ability to work wellunder pressure and meet tight deadlines with patience
    • Most importantly possess a cando positive attitude and asense of humour
    • Help mentor and teach moreJunior members of the design team
