Position Overview:

As a Civil Draftsman specializing in architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings, you will play a pivotal role in the design, drafting, and coordination of construction projects.

Working closely with our engineering and design teams, you'll ensure that our drawings meet regulatory standards and client specifications across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities:

Collaboration and Coordination:Work closely with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to understand project requirements and objectives across architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.

Drafting and Design:Create accurate 2D architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing drawings using CAD software, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Detailing and Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, to accurately communicate design intent and construction requirements.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards for architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Coordination and Integration: Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural plans to ensure seamless integration of all building systems.

Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to identify and resolve conflicts, discrepancies, or errors in design or documentation.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other draftsmen to exchange information, coordinate revisions, and maintain drawing consistency.

Documentation Management: Organize and maintain drawing files, revisions, and project documentation to support project management and construction activities.

Technical Support:Provide technical assistance and support to project teams during the construction phase, including responding to requests for information (RFIs) and clarifications.


Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of five years of experience in preparing 2D architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing drawings for construction projects in GCC countries.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Civil draftsman: 3 years (preferred)
