Responsibilities:


  • Assist the kitchen brigade in the preparation and execution of highquality dishes following established recipes and guidelines
  • Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and sanitization of workstations, equipment, and utensils
  • Support the Chef de Partie and other senior chefs in various culinary tasks, such as ingredient preparation, cooking, plating, and garnishing
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain inventory levels and ensure timely ingredient replenishment
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards to guarantee a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of kitchen operations and the development of innovative culinary creations
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling food costs, minimizing waste, and maximizing efficiency
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, presentation, and taste in all culinary creations
  • Embrace a teamworkoriented approach, supporting fellow team members and promoting a positive work environment

Requirements:


  • Proven experience working as a Commis or in a similar role within a professional kitchen environment
  • Solid understanding of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and best practices
  • Proficient knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and flavors
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, highpressure environment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
  • A team player mindset with excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Understanding and adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred
