Location:
West Island (UAAI) - Offshore.

Basic Function:

You will monitor the construction process to ensure all requirements of construction, fabrication and final products are met in accordance with Company Procedures and International Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities:

Ø Get the job details from Qc/Welding Engineer (i.e., weld map, WCS, drawing)

Ø Getting Project details and specific information required.

Ø Endorse to QC Engineer during receiving inspection of materials if required.

Ø Inspection of fit-up joints and clearance for welding, check material traceability on job.

Ø Check welders are using correct WPS while welding.

Ø Check the Parameters used during welding as per the WPS.

Ø Check material traceability is marked and maintained on spool and vessel.

Ø Visual and dimensional inspection of completed welds.

Ø Report details to QC engineer on daily basis.

Ø Details of joins welded per welders to be recorded on weld visual reports.

Ø Tie in point dimensional inspection.

Ø Marking the spools for radiography and other NDT as per instructions.

Ø Witnessing of repairing welds

Ø Prepare the NDT request and update Weld control records.

Ø Actual dimensions should be marked on the drawing along with the required dimensions.

Ø PMI Machine Operation

Ø Baseline Survey as required

Ø Updating and reviewing the document prior to inspection of client.

Ø Desired Qualification

Ø Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)

Ø NDE Level II Certification

Ø Communication Skills

Ø Welding and Construction Codes and Standards

Ø Reading and Interpreting Drawings and Procedures

Ø 4 to 6 years of Work Experience in Quality Inspection

Reporting and contribution to process management

Ø Support the development of work flows and documenting of standard operating processes and Key performance indicators, this will include generating reports, progress reports, and developing of reporting structures.

Ø Maintain and contribute to a company philosophy of continuous improvement. Essentially this will involve ownership & responsibility for your processes and continually seeking to review and improve these functions.

Ø Should be familiar with working practises in Oil and Gas Industry with highest attention to HSE.

Ø Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure smooth operation at site.

Ø Flexible and hardworking nature whilst displaying integrity at all times.

Desired Qualification:
Ø Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Ø At least 3 years' experience senior position in fabrication of piping and vessel. Site experience will be added advantage
