    We are looking to hire an Insect Care giver with the following skills & qualifications:

    The Insect Caregiver/Attendant at [Butterfly
    Park Name] is responsible for the daily care and maintenance of the park's
    butterfly and insect populations. This role involves feeding, monitoring, and
    ensuring the health and well -being of various insect species, as well as
    maintaining their habitats. The Insect Caregiver/Attendant will work closely
    with biologists and other staff to create a thriving environment for insects
    and enhance the visitor experience through educational engagement.<\/span>

    Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
    <\/p>

    1. Insect Care and Feeding:<\/span><\/b>
      <\/li>
    2. Prepare and provide food
      for butterflies and other insects according to established protocols.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    3. Monitor insect feeding
      behaviors and adjust diets as necessary.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    4. Maintain clean and safe
      feeding areas.<\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul>
    5. Health Monitoring:<\/span><\/b>
      <\/li>
    6. Conduct daily health
      checks on insect populations, noting any signs of illness or distress.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    7. Report health concerns to
      the Senior Insect Caregiver or Head Biologist promptly.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    8. Assist in administering
      treatments and interventions as directed.<\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul>
    9. Habitat Maintenance:<\/span><\/b>
      <\/li>
    10. Clean and maintain insect
      habitats, ensuring a hygienic and suitable environment.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    11. Assist in the setup and
      maintenance of breeding and rearing areas.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    12. Collaborate with
      horticulturists to ensure that plantings support insect health and
      well -being.<\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul>
    13. Lifecycle Support:<\/span><\/b>
      <\/li>
    14. Assist in monitoring and
      supporting all stages of insect life cycles, from eggs to adult insects.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    15. Help with the collection
      and documentation of lifecycle data.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    16. Participate in breeding
      programs as directed by senior staff.<\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul>
    17. Data Collection and Record Keeping:<\/span><\/b>
      <\/li>
    18. Maintain accurate records
      of insect care activities, including feeding, health checks, and habitat
      maintenance.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    19. Assist in data collection
      for research projects and conservation efforts.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    20. Ensure records are
      up -to -date and available for review by senior staff.<\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul>
    21. Visitor Engagement:<\/span><\/b>

    22. Provide information and
      answer questions from visitors about the insects and their care.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    23. Assist with educational
      programs, tours, and demonstrations related to insect biology and
      conservation.<\/span>

    24. Help create and maintain
      informative displays and exhibits.<\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul>
    25. Team Collaboration:<\/span><\/b>
      <\/li>
    26. Work closely with other
      insect caregivers, biologists, and horticulturists to ensure coordinated
      care of the insects.<\/span>

    27. Participate in team
      meetings and training sessions.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    28. Support special projects
      and events as needed.<\/span>

      Qualifications:<\/span><\/b>
      <\/p>

    29. High school diploma or equivalent; some
      coursework in biology, entomology, or a related field preferred.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    30. Minimum of 1 -2 years of experience in
      animal or insect care, preferably in a zoo, aquarium, or similar setting.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    31. Basic knowledge of insect biology and
      husbandry practices.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    32. Strong attention to detail and
      observational skills.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    33. Good communication and interpersonal
      skills.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    34. Ability to follow detailed protocols and
      work independently as well as part of a team.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    35. Physical ability to perform manual labor,
      including lifting up to 30 pounds and working in various weather
      conditions.<\/span>
