Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer based in Abu Dhabi. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and solutions to meet project requirements. Daily tasks include performing calculations, preparing detailed designs and specifications, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, overseeing project installations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The role will require active participation in project planning, site inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure timely project delivery and operational success.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in mechanical design, CAD software, and drafting tools
- Experience in project planning, system analysis, and technical evaluations
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking abilities
- Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Professional certification or license in engineering practices is a plus
- Previous experience in the construction, infrastructure, or building services industry is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Review mechanical design, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, calculations and submittals relevant to the Mechanical discipline activities.
- Conduct on-site inspections and supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide innovative solutions
- Ensure compliance with UAE codes and authorities' regulations
- Implement sustainable engineering practices in project designs and execution
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Coordinate with other disciplines, contractors and suppliers to maintain project timelines
- Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality
