    Description
    • To report for duty punctuallywearing the correct uniform and name badges at alltimes
    • Organize together with de Chef de Partiethe shift on his/her section with regard to mise-en-placeproduction and its service
    • Take orders fromhis/her Chef de Partie and carry them out in the correctmanner
    • Together with his/her Chef de Partie towrite daily wine, dry store, food requisitions and kitchentransfers on the appropriate forms for the approval of theExecutive Chef / Executive Sous Chef in order to achieve the highstock rotation desired in his/hersection
    • Maintain good employee relations andmotivate colleagues
    • Work to the specificationsreceived by the Chef de Partie regarding portion size, quantity andquality as laid down in the recipeindex
    • Responsible for completing the dailychecklist regarding mise-en-place and foodstorage
    • Attend daily and monthly meetings withthe Chef de cuisine and other meetings as requested by theExecutive Chef / Executive Sous Chef
    • Report anyproblems regarding failure of machinery and small equipment to theChef de cuisine and to follow up and ensure the necessary work hasbeen carried out
    • Check the main informationboard re change of any Banquets or other information regarding theorganization
    • Keep the section clean andtidy
    • Pass all information to nextshift
    • Accidents and sickness to be written inlog Book and report to the Executive Chef / Executive SousChef
    • Assist the Chef de cuisine in composingnew recipes and menu ideas
    • Have a completeunderstanding of and adhere to the company's policyrelating to fire, hygiene and safety

    Qualifications

    • Reading, writing and oral proficiencyin the English language
    • Good communication andcustomer contact skills
