Basic Qualifications And SkillsRequirements

• Experienced in mechanical design andan understanding of aerospace design bestpractices.
• Requires a good working knowledge ofinformation systems, operations, andmaintenance.
• Identifying deficiencies inmechanical processes and developingimprovements.
• Designing, developing, analyzing,and testing new equipment and/or newrevisions.
• Develops computer-aided design (CAD)project drawings.
• Works with Project Managersand Engineers to ensure proper allocation ofresources.
• Develop and maintain Bill ofMaterial (BOM) lists and maintenancedocumentation.
• Provide direct support tovendors and suppliers to ensure production schedules aremet.
• Works to resolve production anomalies andstreamline operations to improveefficiency.
• Establish and maintain a highdegree of professional working relationships withcustomers.
• Ability to read/interpretschematics, system interconnects drawings utilizing TechnicalOrders.
• Familiar with test equipment such as:Analog/digital multi-meter, O-Scope, network analyzer, protocolanalyzer, signal generators, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer(OTDR).
• Ensure designs satisfy overallGovernment customer system and sub-systemrequirements.
• Provides input to designimprovements and/or improve performance and/orreliability.
  

PreferredQualifications And Skills Requirements

• Bachelor's degree inengineering and/or 3-7 years of equivalent work experience in lieuof degree.
