    Job Title:

    Kitchen Stewarding

     

    Role Purpose:

    The Kitchen Stewarding position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, glassware, utensils, pans and pots are properly cleaned and sanitized.

    The role also involves the smooth operation of the dishwashing machine, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.

     

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

    Upkeep of Kitchen Equipment: Ensures that kitchen equipment is kept clean and well-maintained as per defined cleaning schedules.

    Stock Counting and Storage: Assists in stock-taking, counting, and storage as per the production checklist.

    Daily Briefing: Attends all daily briefings and mandated trainings, and is open to on-the-job learning regarding various production processes.

    Operating Knowledge of Tools and Equipment: Possesses knowledge and application of optimal usage of tools, work-related gadgets, and tools used in production such as knives, fryer, oven, slicer, blender, and turn-table.

    Teamwork: Works collaboratively with other team members/colleagues.

    Workplace Hygiene and Safety: Keeps utensils and work areas clean at the end of each work shift, ready for the next shift.

     

    Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

    Basic English Language: Basic command of the English language.

    Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

    Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Sanitary Guidelines: Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines.

    Dish Washing Machine Operations: Knowledge of basic dish washing machine operations.

    Physical Fitness: Excellent level of physical fitness due to all-day standing and transportation of up to 23 kilos.
