    Description

    · Develops financial merchandiseplans for all brand/categories based on insights gained fromanalytics, customer preference, historical trends and futureoutlook projected by the buyer

    ·Determines high-level financial goals including pre-seasonfinancial plans, in-season projections, open-to-buy management andnew store budgets for thebrand/category

    · Prepares and monitorsbrand/category MIS analytics based on actual sales, salesforecasts, company order parameters, inventory checks, forth comingevents, replenishment needs etc.

    ·Discusses, decides and monitors the strategic plans around thefollowing factors

    oFinancials

    o Sales, Stock, OTB, Margins, ForwardCover etc.

    o Order Quantity, Allocation,Replenishment etc.

    · Communicates theplans to buying team for necessary execution and ensures effectivein-season management across stores/areas (stock balancing, markdownmanagement, stock analysis, stock vs salesperformance)

    · Reviews the merchandiseplans on a periodic basis to ensure profit is maximized andmaintained to reach target levels

    ·Ensures optimum inventory levels are maintained for eachbrand/category, keeping in mind store requirements as well asworking capital constraints

    · Ensuresthat no instances of stock outs occur on account of any discrepancyon part of planning

    · Ensures excessinventory is not maintained at the warehouses or the stores andthere is proper adherence to the GMG policies andprocedures

    · Ensures propercoordination with the store managers and distribution centers toensure that the goods are delivered to respective stores as per therequested quantities and agreedtimelines

    · Ensures identification ofobsolete/slow moving stock and obtain management approval onmarkdowns and product discounts to ensure stock is liquidated asper retail /brand/categoryguidelines

    · Prepares varianceanalysis reports of stocks and sales against budgeted figures,identify brand/category growth opportunities to minimize downtrending business

    · Monitors and setstargets by brand/category for GMROII and densities to increaseprofitability

    About therequirements:

    • A minimumof 7 -10 years of relevant experience
    • Must havehandled at least the following volume: (a) more than AED 300million per year (b) 2000 – 2500 styles (c) 8000– 10,000 SKU's.
    • Must haveworked in either Retail, FMCG or Ecommerce. Ideally, in Apparel/Footwear/ Fashion.
    • Must be an excellent userERP's (e.g. SAP or Oracle). Experience of using Power BIis desirable.
    • Must have experience in thefollowing areas: preseason, central planning, controlling ofInvestments, OTB, margin management, markdown planning,discounting, inventory management and financial planning (budgetplanning - sales and GPbudgets).
