Description
Our IDEAL HEAD BARISTA should have:
At least three years experience working with specialty coffee
Be physically capable of working around 9 hours a day or more on your feet
Sharp attention to detail
A love of coffee and thirst for knowledge
Excellent communication skills and charm in abundance, with excellent guest service skills
The ability to deal with immense pressure and work quickly whilst maintaining consistently high standards
A high level of organization
Demonstrative ability to work well within a team
Roasting experience would be an added advantage.
The Head Barista supervises to ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets, manage shifts while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness, investigate and resolve complaints concerning quality and service, ensure positive guest service in all areas
- Greeting customers and delivering excellent customer service.
- Preparing coffees and other beverages to a high standard of taste and quality.
- Making recommendations to customers and answering any questions.
- Coordinate orders for Junior Baristas and waiters to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Manage orders for stock and coffee supplies.
- Maintain and clean coffee machines. Organise service where needed.
- Train and set standards for Junior Baristas and Wait Staff.
- Monitor and maintain hygiene and cleaning standards.
- Liaise with coffee roasters and management to ensure the smooth running of operations and delivery of quality products.

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Barista: 2 years (preferred)
