Responsibilities

Plans implementscoordinates and maintains the effectiveness of all ProcurementSection functions including policies plans procedures &status reports for all assigned projects and manages all personnelactivities in support of these operations.

Managescoordinates and delivers Procurement services within approvedbudget levels and develops the staffing and resourcing plan for theprojected workload.
Develops and implements proceduralinstructions ensuring that they are updated and maintained inaccordance with the systems.
Coordinates and supervisesthe evaluation of suppliers performance in collaboration with therelevant Procurement staff. Takes decisions on inclusion ordeletion from the master Vendor list.

Liaises withproject management other departmental managers and clients toestablish standard of service levels facilitating the resolution ofany technical or administrative issues.

Conducts majornegotiations with vendors ensuring that the company obtains theoptimum commercial advantage and that its position

Sitsas a permanent member of the Tender Committee and providesinformation on market developments and trends to assist inevaluation of offers.

Exercises delegated authority insuch matters as signing Purchase Orders and approving the waiver ofliquidated damages.
Liaises with Accounts Department toensure all costing information related to materials is accurate andcurrent.

Agrees on price adjustments certifies invoicesfor payment and approves the release of bank guarantees andperformance bonds to comply with contractual requirements.

Motivates develops and appraises staff to ensure thatmanpower of the required calibre is available to effectivelyundertake the duties of the Procurement function.

MinimumRequirements:

1518 years of experience insimilar role.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Supply& Chain Management or equivalent professionalqualification.
Background in Dredging / Civil Marineconstruction industry and experience in BIMCO Vessel Chartering aremandatory.
