    Description
    We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Internal Auditor with 57 years of experience specializing in auditing energy companies to join our dynamic team in Ajman UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in auditing practices financial analysis risk assessment and compliance within the energy sector. This role requires meticulous attention to detail exceptional analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct comprehensive internal audits of energy companies to evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls operational processes and compliance with regulatory standards.

    1. Develop and implement audit plans methodologies and procedures tailored to the unique characteristics and risks associated with energy industry operations.
    2. Perform detailed testing and analysis of financial data transactions and operational activities to identify potential areas of risk inefficiency or noncompliance.
    3. Prepare clear and concise audit reports detailing findings recommendations and action plans to address identified issues and improve internal controls.
    4. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure audit findings are effectively communicated understood and remediated in a timely manner.
    5. Stay abreast of emerging trends regulatory changes and best practices in the energy sector to enhance audit methodologies and maintain compliance with industry standards.
    6. Provide guidance and support to junior audit staff including mentoring training and reviewing their work to ensure quality and consistency in audit processes.
    7. Foster positive working relationships with key stakeholders including senior management department heads and external auditors to facilitate open communication and cooperation throughout the audit process.


    Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field; Masters degree or professional certification (e.g. CPA CIA CISA) is preferred.
    • 57 years of progressive experience in internal auditing with a focus on the energy sector; experience auditing oil and gas companies is highly desirable.
    • Strong understanding of auditing principles techniques and standards with a proven track record of conducting riskbased audits and delivering actionable recommendations.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software applications (e.g. Excel ACL IDEA) to extract manipulate and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to effectively communicate complex audit findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities including the ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and lead audit teams to successful outcomes.
    • Willingness to relocate to Ajman UAE and eligibility to work in the country.
