Job purpose: Responsible for overseeing overall production evaluation and inspection in order to ensure the quality standards of the organization.

Job location: China

Education & Qualifications: bachelor's degree

Experience: Total 5 years of experience in a similar role, in China. Experience of all genders of footwear (FORMAL, CASUAL, SPORTS, SLIPPERS ETC) and handbags (desirable)

Specialized Training: MS office, in particular Excel

Key Accountabilities: -

Quality Control

Inspection and Testing:

• Perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspections of footwear and handbag products at different production stages, including raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
• Identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards.
• Conduct testing to ensure products meet specified quality requirements, including physical and chemical testing.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Document inspection findings, defects, and deviations Product lifecycle management (PLM)
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs, descriptions of defects, and suggestions for corrective actions.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with suppliers to address quality-related issues, provide feedback, and suggest improvements in materials or processes.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations and timely resolution of issues.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify trends in defects and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives by providing insights and suggestions for enhancing product quality and process efficiency.

Compliance and Standards:

• Stay updated on industry regulations, quality standards, and best practices related to footwear and handbags.
• Ensure that products adhere to relevant safety and compliance standards.

Root Cause Analysis:

• Conduct root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons for defects or quality issues and contribute to problem-solving efforts.

Mega DC:

• Implementation and follow up of instruction defined for Mega DC change team to ensure smooth receipt of products into DC.

Factory Audits

• Carry out audit under the guidance of concept QC on new and existing suppliers to ensure compliance from an ethical and technical point of view.

Knowledge:

Local and regional cultural sensitivities

Knowledge in AQL inspection

Knowledge on quality control process and policies

Knowledge of manufacturing and best QC practices

Knowledge of footwear testing method and requirements
