    Description

    The Financial Analyst II, FP&A supports financial planning and storytelling through financial forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis, and annual budgeting. Use business information and financial analysis to provide business insights, identify risks and opportunities, and support decision-making. This role is part of the FP&A team and reports to the Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners to convert business plans to financial operating and capital expense forecasts and budgets for assigned departments
  • Monitor financial performance and perform analysis, including variance analysis
  • Identify, evaluate, and communicate the business context and assumptions behind financial data
  • Prepare supporting schedules and cost models including documentation of assumptions
  • Perform financial reviews and provide financial support and analysis to business partners
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports and metric data
  • Develop and maintain forecast and analysis tools and processes
  • Collaborate with accounting for analysis and alignment of budget, forecast, and accounting data
  • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of finance experience; preferably in an FP&A and/or corporate environment
  • Experience working with business partners to deliver budget and forecasts
  • Experience performing financial analysis including variance and trend analysis
  • Experience with cost models
  • ERP, planning software, and corporate performance management software experience a plus

  • Proficiency with various types of financial analysis including variance and trend analysis

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written, verbal, and remote communications
  • Concisely convey information and financial data to all levels within and across the organization
  • Understanding of GAAP basics, operating vs. capital expenses, accruals, prepaids, and general ledger
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative to make improvements, resolve uncertainties and drive results
  • Job Location & Business Travel

  • Our corporate headquarters is in Bellevue, WA (Greater Seattle area) but hybrid or work from home arrangements are welcome. For this role, occasional in-person/office work is desirable.
  • Position requires little to no travel. If remote, travel to headquarters up to four times a year.
  • Pay and Benefits

    The typical starting salary range for this role is $69,939 - $87,424 per year. For Washington State or jurisdictions that require the publication of entire wage scales or salary ranges, the entire salary range for this position is between $58,274 and $104,909. Coinstar utilizes geographically based pay ranges, within the United States, which allow us to pay competitively and consistently based on location. Within the range for the applicable geographic area, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share the salary range specific to your location. Short-Term bonus incentives are a part of the total compensation package and are based on Company and Individual performance.

    Physical Requirements

    Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment.
