Tendering Manager - P&O Maritime Logistics (Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates)

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tendering Manager to join our team at P&O Maritime Logistics in Dubai. This pivotal role involves managing the tendering process for various marine logistics projects, with a focus on offshore oil and gas, offshore renewables, port services, and cargo transport. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop competitive and compelling tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the entire tendering process, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality tender submissions.
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential opportunities and gather relevant data for tenders.
• Collaborate with various internal departments, including operations, finance, legal, and technical teams, to compile tender documents.
• Analyze client requirements, project specifications, and contractual terms to create tailored and commercially viable proposals.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and pricing strategies, factoring in vessel selection, crewing, equipment, and logistics.
• Oversee the internal review process, ensuring all submissions meet the company's quality standards and objectives.
• Engage with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors for clarifications, negotiations, and documentation.
• Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Maintain meticulous records of tendering activities, including all related documentation and communications.
• Provide insightful post-tender analysis and feedback to improve future tendering processes.
  
  

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field. Additional qualifications in project management are advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tendering and business development within the marine logistics industry, preferably in oil and gas and offshore renewables.
• Deep understanding of the marine logistics market, including regulatory frameworks and project lifecycle.
• Strong grasp of commercial and contractual terms with effective negotiation and risk mitigation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing teams.
