    Description

    Role and Responsibilities

  • Performs the role of device care taker and fill in for Fleet supervisor/Shift Leader in their absence. Support other device care takers within shift to fulfill their task as per the stipulated quality standards in coordination with shift leader /Fleet care taker.
  • Follow up on Authorities raised issues and ensure issues are actioned /cleared within time limit set by the authorities. Update authority issues as per the predefined frequency and ECD.
  • Ensure all QTGs reruns are signed off, as well as ensuring reruns of raised deficiencies are followed up to closure in a timely manner. Ensure junior colleagues and trained and mentored to perform their tasks well. Ensure all PMT tasks are carried out according to standards (Maintenance manuals) and signed off. Must ensure PMT raised deficiencies are followed up to closure in a timely manner.
  • Review Simulator Manufacturer FSB and applicability monthly and ensure implementation of the FSB and complete related documentation. Ensure integrity of Simulator procedures, as well as making sure they are kept up to date. Inform team of changes or modifications.
  • Coordinate and Manage monthly (every 28 days) GSD & NDB updates and ensure completion: Keep the navigation database up to date as per local guidelines.
  • Other Requirements:

  • Aviation experience in the Business Aircraft or simulator environment is most desirable years)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with all types of test equipment. Demonstrated proficiency with software diagnostics and utilities on at least 1 type of simulator. Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills. Run and evaluate required FAA ATG / QTG tests.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist the CAE Engineering Team with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements.
  • Demonstrated ability as the "Technical Expert" on at least one major simulator system (i.e. motion, visual, aircraft systems, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • A good background in electrical, electronic or aeronautical engineering. Deep interest and some knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems.
  • PC skills (Word, Excel, etc).
