    Description
    We are currently working with an Investment Holding Group based in Abu Dhabi and they are looking for an Accountant with experience in Corporate VAT.

    In this role, you will:
    • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
    • Support month-end and year-end close process.
    • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analysing account information.
    • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
    • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
    • Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss,
    • income statements Liaise with financial manager to improve financial procedures.
    • Control the general ledger transactions, bank reconciliations and cash.
    • Handle cash, credit and bank transactions.
    • Liaise with Real estate –property manager (FGP) on a regular basis for reporting of Real estate income and expenses.
    • Monitor fixed asset transactions of the company.
    • Prepare monthly financial reports.
    • Prepare weekly cash reports
    • Preparation and filing of quarterly VAT returns for submission to Tax authority.
    • Review accounting and VAT for 2 to 4 entities of the group.
    • Liaise with external auditors in preparation for audit and attend all queries and requirements from auditors.
    • Preparation of bank requirements like KYC and ensure that compliance is attended on time.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CA/CPA/CMA qualified.
    • 8-10 years' of similar role experience
    • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP- Microsoft Dynamics AX/
    • SAP/Oracle.
    • Proven ability to prioritize projects and initiate follow through with meticulous attention detail.
    • Planning & organizing, time management and reporting skills preferred.
    • Strong analytical and accounting skills.
    • Hands on experience with accounting software packages like AX Dynamics preferable.
