Al Sharqi Shipping Co LLC are seeking an experienced and driven Air Operations Executive to oversee and manage the efficient and seamless execution of all air cargo operations for our company.

This role entails coordinating air freight logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining strong relationships with partners and stakeholders in the aviation and logistics industry.

Position is Ajman based.

Key Responsibilities:

Air Freight Operations Management:

Plan, coordinate, and supervise air freight shipments, adhering to international aviation regulations and industry best practices.
Collaborate closely with airlines, airfreight forwarders, and customs agencies to secure cargo space, flight bookings, and transportation schedules.
Monitor flight schedules and ensure timely departure and arrival of shipments to meet customer demands.

Documentation and Compliance:

Prepare, review, and manage air freight documentation, including air waybills, certificates of origin, customs declarations, and other essential paperwork.
Ensure strict compliance with aviation regulations, import/export guidelines, and safety protocols.

Partnership and Vendor Management:

Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with airlines, cargo carriers, and service providers to negotiate favorable terms, rates, and services.
Collaborate with procurement teams to identify reliable vendors and partners for air cargo services.

Cargo Tracking and Monitoring:

Implement advanced tracking systems and tools to monitor cargo status and location throughout transit.
Proactively identify potential disruptions or delays in shipments and initiate contingency plans when necessary.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

Develop and manage budgets for air cargo operations, covering flight costs, handling fees, and associated expenses.
Identify costeffective solutions and optimize routes and methods to enhance operational efficiency.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks in air cargo operations and establish strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to adapt strategies to changing conditions.

Leadership and Team Development:

Lead and manage a team of air operations professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance assessments.
Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Demonstrated experience (45 years) in air operations, airfreight forwarding, or aviation logistics, with a proven record of successful operations management.
Thorough understanding of international aviation regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
Strong negotiation and communication abilities, with the aptitude to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for cargo tracking, documentation, and reporting.
Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data, identify trends, and make datadriven decisions.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially in managing complex logistics processes.
Leadership and team management competencies, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Problemsolving orientation and adaptability to handle unforeseen challenges and changes in a dynamic environment.
