Role Purpose:


The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the sales growth both internally within MAF Retail and externally with new customers.


Role Details - Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities, markets and potential clients across multiple international markets to grow overall sales and profitability.
  • Ensure trend identification to rectify ranges provided to the relevant customers.
  • Manage both new and existing customer relationships, increase value and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Present product portfolio to internally and externally.
  • Negotiate contracts with new customers.
  • Identify opportunities to grow through trade shows, expos and distributorships.
  • Oversee the data analyst(s) responsibilities specifically in regards to sales growth and customer insights.
  • Work with the data analyst(s) to develop and grow the market share and profitability within respective region.
  • Identify tools for continuous improvement tools and implement new and enhanced ways of working.

Coordination with Internal Stakeholders

  • Work crossfunctionally with other business units; for example, merchandise, finance and supply chain to ensure alignment.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the UK Hub.

Human Capital Responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation of the performance management process.
  • Provide mentorship for the purpose of developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate with the HC department to ensure facilitation of training requirements.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of on the jobtraining.
  • Ensure constant availability of the required competent staff to support the organization in meeting all its responsibilities, plans, and objectives.
  • Provide inputs while developing MAF Retail's corporate policies and relevant procedures, and monitor the implementation.

Qualification, Experience & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications/Education**- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or relevant field

  • MBA is advantageous
