Papel is seeking a dynamic and driven financial analyst to join our Strategic Finance and Planning team.

As a financial analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various business partners including Finance, Product, and Commercial teams by providing financial insights, best practices advice, and critical requirements for the creation of P&L statements, headcount analysis, and budgeting initiatives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Finance, Product, and Commercial to provide financial insights and support decisionmaking processes.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of P&L statements, headcount analysis, and budgeting processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to identify areas of improvement and optimize financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decisionmaking.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Support Senior FP&A in running planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities for the company.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting the payments and fintech industries worldwide.
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Competencies

  • At least 4 years of experience in working in Strategic Finance FP&A
  • Have an advanced level in excel, analytics and critical thinking skill.
  • Able to write procedures as well as communicate clearly to the project managers and well as other stakeholders.
  • Advise whenever possible to the Senior FP&A and CFO on the best practices following analysis of costs and revenues.
  • Experience in Payments, issuing and acquiring is a huge plus and will be considered.

  • Attention to detail and proactive about identifying problems and implementing solutions.
