Legal Counsel

OIL & GAS

Job Requirements:

  • 2 years working experience in contract and corporate law, preferably in Dubai.
  • Advanced Degree in Law. Having a good understanding of the legal system in the United Arab Emirates is considered an important advantage.
  • Working experience in international companies (consulting + inhouse preferred).
  • Excellent drafting and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in working with crossborder transactions, preferably.
  • Experience in revising complex commercial contracts and deals.

Responsibilities:


  • Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.)
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust.
  • Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights.
  • Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation.
  • Perform the KYC checks and other due diligence on new counterparties and/or business transactions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for and respond to queries related to compliance.
  • Work with key internal stakeholders in the review of projects and ensure compliance with international/regional laws, and where necessary update policies and T&Cs, websites, and products.
  • Populate, organize, and maintain an uptodate data room containing documents and other legal information; and
  • Work on other projects and tasks as assigned from time to time.

AED5, AED10,000.00 per month
