Key Responsibilities:


  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner.
  • Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by dispatch or management.
  • Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and secure packaging.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or confirmations from customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns from customers in a professional manner.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving and delivering goods.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, performing routine inspections and maintenance as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Complete delivery logs, mileage reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Assist with other warehouse or deliveryrelated tasks as needed.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and navigate stairs and tight spaces.
  • Familiarity with using GPS navigation devices or smartphone apps for route planning.
