Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting and Design: Create detailed architectural drawings, layouts, and plans with a focus on joinery and woodwork using AutoCAD software.
Joinery Detailing: Develop precise and detailed joinery drawings and specifications, including cabinetry, furniture, and interior woodwork.
Project Coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of designs, especially joinery elements.
Compliance: Ensure all designs, particularly joinery components, comply with local building codes, regulations, and client requirements.
Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project reports.
Revisions: Modify and update designs based on client feedback, engineering changes, and regulatory requirements.
Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and reviews of drawings and plans to ensure high standards of accuracy and detail.
Collaboration: Participate in project meetings, providing input on design issues and solutions, with a focus on joinery.
Site Visits: Occasionally visit construction sites to verify dimensions and assist with problemsolving as needed, particularly regarding joinery installation.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field

Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in architectural drafting and design using
AutoCAD/ BIM, with
specific experience in joinery and woodwork detailing.

Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and other related software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp).
Strong understanding of architectural design principles, joinery techniques, and building codes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting, especially for joinery components.
Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications, with a focus on joinery.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of various joinery materials, finishes, and construction methods.
Experience with woodworking machinery and tools is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Certifications: Professional certifications in AutoCAD or relevant architectural software are a plus.
