- Develop, implement, and oversee multi-annual vessel budgets covering maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, overhauls, insurance, and fuel/lubricant costs to ensure effective fleet management.
- Supervise and ensure the proper planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance, drydockings, modifications, and technical projects within budget and in accordance with company standards.
- Monitor and guide the application of effective project management techniques, ensuring highquality reporting and compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all vessels are maintained in a safe and fitforpurpose condition to achieve optimal utilization and operational reliability.
- Promote and enforce safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards, reviewing incidents and ensuring that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Provide direction, support, and technical guidance to Contract and Operations Managers to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient vessel operations.
- Conduct or oversee regular vessel inspections to monitor condition, compliance, and performance against company standards.
- Engage with clients and charter representatives to maintain strong working relationships, ensure operational compliance, and identify business development opportunities.
- Provide technical and operational input during tendering processes to support the commercial team in securing new business.
- Lead, coach, and develop the regional technical team, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that accurate vessel documentation, technical records, and reports are maintained in line with company procedures and requirements.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Maritime Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture (Maritime Officer HWTK preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of technical management experience in an international maritime environment.
- Experience in working the MEIS region.
- Preferably seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or First Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of vessel engineering, maintenance systems, and onboard practices.
- Proven leadership and management skills with experience in defining and maintaining technical standards and procedures.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
