Job Description

To repair and maintain the hotel linen and ambassadors uniforms as per hotel standards and procedures.

To ensure that sewing machine and other equipment are in good working condition and to report on any repair requirements to the Supervisor.

To hand out and accept uniforms and linen and to ensure that all records are well maintained and current.

To monitor any repairs to the guest and ambassador laundry required and inform the Assistant Manager / Supervisor Laundry the necessary requirements

To ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of working area.

To fit the new ambassadors with their new uniform and make alterations if necessary.

To alter and to maintain a record of discarded linen and uniform.

To assist with inventory of uniforms and linen.

To assist with the distribution of the guest laundry and ambassador laundry.

To report any found items to the Supervisor.

To co-ordinate closely with laundry attendant to ensure smooth workflow and to assist them in daily operations.

To read and complete the laundry Logbooks and reports.

To carry out special projects according to the assignments.

To attend a daily line up briefing with the Housekeeping team.

To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub sections of the Housekeeping Department.

To carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Laundry Supervisor and Assistant Laundry Manager.
