Description

The digital marketing intern is responsible for assisting the marketing team in carrying out various aspects of its day-to-day digital marketing activities.

The digital marketing intern is responsible for covering the following areas of tasks:

SEO and website activities

Assist the team's search engine optimization (SEO) specialist with related SEO activities, including but not limited to:
Optimizing copy and landing pages for search engine optimization;
Performing keyword searches to discover relevant keyword opportunities; and
Researching and implementing content recommendations for SEO success.
Assist the team's SEO specialist with activities related to updating the company's website, including but not limited to:
Uploading product information and descriptions onto the product page;
Writing or optimizing blogs posts published by the company; and
Brainstorming ways to the company website's content and efficiency.

Content production

Assist the digital marketing team with preparing content for the company's social media pages by:
Conveying design requirements to the graphic designers the company works with;
Aiding in the production of inhouse videos for social media;
Offering content ideas based on the latest relevant trends; and
Supporting in any manner necessary to smoothen the process of content production.

Social media and online campaigns

Assist the digital marketing team with social media activity and online campaigns by:
Aiding with the scheduling and posting of social media content on platforms such as Instagram and YouTube;
Monitoring social media activity and making recommendations to the digital marketing team about ways to improve social media engagement;

Coordination

Assist the digital marketing team with any administrative and coordination tasks to ensure the completion of required projects and obligations, as needed.

Required qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program (preferably in marketing, communications, business administration, or psychology);
Demonstrated interest in digital marketing through prior internship experience, academic activities, or extracurricular activities;
Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro, Canva, and other content creation tools;
Great knowledge of MS Office;
Excellent organization and communication skills; and
Basic graphic design skills.
