Description
The position will have direct P&L responsibility for the UAE business within Toll Global Forwarding Division.The role has primary responsibility for developing and implementing Toll Global Forwarding UAE business plans which incorporates Service Line and customer needs that deliver the required returns and growth for Toll.
Job responsibilities:
Develop and drive the business to meet the strategic and financial objectives of the country combined with implementing improvements in work practicesEstablish capability required to achieve the strategy (people, services, networks, technology, financial, etc.)Maximize profitability, reducing the cost base/controlling costs, drive growth and innovation across the business or operations, setting stretch targets for growth and the deployment of innovative services, processes and technologies.
Establish the overall systems and standards of work behaviour ensuring excellence in customer service, reliability and efficiency, and sustainable safety and environmental performance.
Drive improvements in work practices and business processes.Responsibility for all revenue, expense and capital budgets for the business.
Liaise closely with the rest of the Toll network to respond to business opportunities, coordination of operations, and deployment of people and equipment to optimum advantage.
Qualifications15+ years' experience in global logistics of which more than half in forwarding.
Experience in change-related roles on large, complex projects/transactions with challenging business outcomes.
Knowledge of how to lead and manage both commercial and operations departments; setting and meeting work priorities to achieve outcomes within specified time frames and budgets.
Experience in overseeing functions including HR, finance/accounting, tax, legal, risk, safety.Proving leadership by developing and using effective strategies, including interpersonal skills to optimize the site's achievements.
