JobDescription

We are currently lookingfor a highly experienced and skilled senior backend developer tojoin our esteemed Tech team at Cobblestone Energy. In this roleyour primary responsibility will revolve around the server side ofour applications. Additionally you will play a vital role insetting up the infrastructure and developing tools for ouranalytics.

As the senior backend developer youwill face exhilarating challenges associated with largescale dataprocessing automation and analytics. Your objective will be tosupport the commercial team in making datadriven decisions bydemonstrating a curious mindset and a strong desire to delve deeperinto our business. Developing a robust understanding of ourindustry will be pivotal to ensuring longterm success in thisposition.

Responsibilities

• Gather andaddress technical and designrequirements.
• Refactor existing applications tooptimize its performance through setting the appropriatearchitecture and integrating the best practices andstandards.
• Participate in the entireapplication lifecycle mainly focusing on coding debugging andtesting.
• Troubleshoot and debugapplications.
• Support the developers throughtrainings and transfer of knowledge.
• Mentor thedevelopers and assist in the management of theteam.

Requirements

• BScdegree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering. Masters is aplus.
• 5 years of experience as a Backenddeveloper.
• 5 years of work experience in Javaand Python. Solid work experience inJava and Python is a must
• Algotrading dev experience is a big plus
• Strongknowledge in Kafka/Kinesis/Redshift/Spark is a bigplus.
• 3 years of experience in developing APIs(REST & SOAP protocols).
• 3 years ofexperience in using AWS cloud and itsresources/services.
• Strong experience inRelational Databases (MySQL SQL Server PostgreSQL) andnonrelational databases (Mongo DB )
• Strong knowledge in ContinuousIntegration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) utilizingDocker containers.
• Previous experience inautomated testing including unit testing & UItesting.
• Strong indepth understanding of theentire web development process (design development anddeployment)
• Strong competencies in algorithmsand software architecture.
• Familiarity withfrontend languages (e.g. HTML JavaScript andCSS)
• Excellent analytical time management andteamwork skills.
